Towards the middle of this Part, there is an Ascent to the publick Library, which is a very handsome Room; and besides the Books and Manuscripts which are its proper Furniture, it is well adorn'd with very good Paintings [...] This Library was confiderably augmented by Cardinal Bessarione, as appears by an Inscription upon Marble which is there in Memory of it. (English)
