No room in this cabinet is more interesting in its appearance than the library, it contains a vast assemblage of manuscripts; they are pretty thick rolls; most of them quite brown, some black, and had suffered so much by the fire, that it was esteemed impossible to unroll them, had not an ingenious man, Padre Antonio Piaggi, invented a most curious method of opening them by degrees (English)
