Statements
As S. Carlo is held in the highest Esteem at Milan upon the account of his Piety, so is Leonardo da Vinci upon account of his Skill in Arts and Sciences. His Paintings are esteem'd there at least equal to Raphael's; and his twelve Volumes of Mechanical Designs,[...] They were given to the Library by Count Galeaz Arconato, and received with an unparallel'd Solemnity.
