The greater Part of the Manuscripts had been removed to the University, out of the Royal Library, but I observed some [...] thirty Volumes of the famous Pirro Ligorio's own Designs in Architecture, Antiquity, Mechanics, & c. of which the Librarian told me that those of the Vatican Collection are only Copies. He likewise shew'd me a Dante, which is said to be the original one. (English)
