Statements
This establishment is entirely owing to Count Marsigli, who, throughout an active warlike life, pursued Natural History with ardour and success; [..] His collections of Natural History, Astronomical and Chemical Apparatus, Plans of Fortifications, & c. were given by himself to the Senate of Bologna, his native place, in 1712, and now make a great part of this collection.
