The Abbé Luigi Canonici, to whom we had letters from the Marquis Durazzo, has one of the finest private libraries for manuscripts and old books that can any where be seen. Here are seven different manuscripts of the works of Dante. About 200 Greek manuscripts. A Greek Testament, written in very large characters, which cost him, I think, 60 sequins in France. (English)
