A no less curious manuscript is the Latin translation of Josephus, by Rufinus, written in the old Lombardy character on papyrus, and on both sides of the Leaves, a very unusual circumstance. This must be as old as the fourth century, Rufinus having been a contemporary of S.t Jerome. (English)
